Mickey C. Wiltz DVM
A native of Baton Rouge Louisiana, Dr. Wiltz received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana Sate University in 1986. He has enjoyed 20 years of varied practice experience including: three years at Churchill Downs (Louisville Kentucky ) and Oaklawn (Arkansas) racetracks, two years with Northern Virgina horse farms, nine years in small animal medicine in Metairie Louisiana, and two years in emergency medicine in Boulder Colorado. In 2002 Dr. Wiltz purchased Big Thompson Animal Hospital fullfilling a life long goal to provide exceptional animal care in a compassionate, friendly, small town setting.
