Mickey C. Wiltz DVM

A native of Baton Rouge Louisiana, Dr. Wiltz received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana Sate University in 1986. He has enjoyed 20 years of varied practice experience including: three years at Churchill Downs (Louisville, Kentucky ) and Oaklawn racetracks, two years with Northern Virgina horse farms, nine years in small animal medicine in Metairie Louisiana, and two years in emergency medicine in Boulder Colorado. In 2002 Dr. Wiltz purchased Big Thompson Animal Hospital fullfilling a life long goal to provide exceptional animal care in a compassionate, friendly, small town setting.

Kelly Barrett-Rephun DVM

Dr Barrett is originally from Ohio and came to Colorado to study veterinary medicine at Colorado State University.  After graduating in 2001, she went to Ohio State University to complete and internship in small and exotic animal medicine, surgery and emergency medicine.  She finished her internship in 2002 and returned to Colorado to practice  medicine.  She has continued to work with small and exotic animals in general and emergency practice since then, practicing in Thornton, Westminster, Boulder and now Loveland. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, snowshoeing and bicycling.
